Application<\/h2>\n\t

Defoamer-T destroys and inhibits foam. As a rule, chemical reactions with the product to be defoamed are not expected. Only in highly alkaline media is slow hydrolysis likely to occur. Defoamer-T can be used in its supply form and in dilutions of between around 1:1 and 1:10 in suitable organic solvents. It should be added to the foaming prone product prior to processing since this then prevents foam formation from occurring at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If foam has already formed, we recommend that Defoamer-T should be applied to the foam layer in a finely dispersed form (by spraying). Care should be taken to ensure that no aerosols form. If they form, safety measures must be taken to prevent contact with skin and eyes and to make it impossible to inhale the aerosols.<\/p>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Since Defoamer-T additions depend primarily on the foam extend development, the required amount must be determined individually for each application. Generally addition rates range from 0.01% to 0.5%.<\/p>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
